Since the Prime Minister took office in October last year, the Government has been working to deliver on the 2019 manifesto and the Prime Minister’s five priorities:

It’s been announced today that Telford has been chosen by the Government to be one of six areas participating in the new Family Network Support policy. Lucy has been lobbying ministers to include Telford in this pilot scheme. 

Following discussions with her constituents and a visit to Telford Central, Lucy has submitted a letter to the consultation, which is now open until Friday, 1st September.

The final week of the Parliamentary session before the summer was spent getting the Illegal Migration Bill through Parliament and it is now law.

Following her meeting with Post Office Chief Executive Nick Read and Tracy Felstead, Lucy today attended a debate in Parliament to discuss the management culture at the Post Office.

Today in Parliament, Lucy attended the first meeting of the all-party parliamentary group on birth trauma. Founded by Theo Clarke MP, the group aims to give a voice in parliament to those mothers who faced complicated births and adverse impacts on their postpartum mental health.

We all want the recommendations of the Independent Inquiry into Telford Child Sexual Exploitation (IITCSE) report to be properly implemented because we all want fundamental change to the way our authorities support victims and tackle CSE.
