Telford MP, Lucy Allan, was quizzed by pupils and teachers from Dawley C of E Primary Academy during their visit to Parliament today.
The academy's year six pupils and teachers were spending part of the day at Parliament's state-of-the-art education centre, located next to the House of Lords, which provides school children across the UK with the opportunity to learn about Parliament first-hand, in its historic surroundings, at no cost.
After a tour of the House of Commons and House of Lords, Ms Allan joined the academy's pupils and teachers for a short Q&A session and learned more about their action-packed day in London.
Commenting on their visit, Ms Allan said:
"It was a real pleasure to welcome pupils and teachers from Dawley Academy to Parliament this morning.
"They asked some great questions during our Q&A session, on topics ranging from Brexit, tuition fees, women's suffrage, the next General Election, and my role and responsibilities as Telford's MP, and it sounded like they had an action-packed day ahead
"These visits to Parliament present an excellent opportunity for pupils to learn more about our political process, and how MPs contribute to the development of law-making. They're accessible to all, and I encourage all Telford schools to consider making such a visit.
