Lucy Allan joined Environment Secretary Owen Paterson at the opening of a new meat processing plant in Telford, providing more than 100 jobs.
The Pickstock Telford beef processing facility was officially opened by Owen Paterson on Monday 2nd June.
The company first started in Ashby de la Zouch in 2003, but has relocated to the brand new facility at Hortonwood in Telford to expand their business in the thriving town.
Lucy Allan commented: “Owen and I were very impressed by the facilities at the Pickstock beef processing facility. The factory is very humane, modern and professional and will bring a lot of new jobs to the area.
“Telford is surrounded by farms and I’m sure farmers will benefit from investments into the local agricultural sector, like this beef processing plant.
“It’s a family run company that has thrived under this Government and I’m thrilled that they have decided to make Telford their new base of operations and I hope that they go from strength to strength at their new plant.”
