Telford needs to be better connected to the Internet, especially in areas with poor broadband like Lightmoor and Lawley. Local campaigner Lucy Allan is fighting to improve these connections.
Good Internet connections are essential for business, jobs, growth and for attracting newcomers to Telford.
Lucy has been working alongside residents in Lawley, Lightmoor, Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge in campaigning for faster and more reliable broadband in Telford.
Telford and Wrekin Council are yet to take up Government funding to bring broadband up to speed in these areas, and have commented that the spend "could not be justified".
Lucy Allan said: "I urge Telford an Wrekin Council to accept the Government funding offered to our area. This is vital investment for the future of Telford. Residents and businesses alike are frustrated by poor broadband links and delay to resolving this problem. We need to act now.
"Broadband in some areas, like Lawley and Lightmoor, is extremely poor with residents unable to access more stable fibre optic technology."
