Telford Hornets Rugby Football Club awarded grant to improve facilities
The Veolia Environmental Trust today announced that they would be awarding Telford Hornets Rugby Football Club a grant of £9,540. The grant was awarded through the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) to fund a new spectator-barrier for the club’s main floodlit pitch.
The Club was awarded a similar grant in August 2016 when it received £49,000 from SUEZ Communities Trust, also through the Landfill Communities Fund to improve the clubhouse.
Lucy Allan MP said:
“I am delighted that Telford Hornets have secured another grant from Veolia through the LCF.
"I have seen the fantastic work the Club and its volunteers do for the community and how they have built this wonderful resource. It’s so important to be able to offer players and spectators good quality facilities and to be able to encourage more people to take up this exciting sport.
"Through this grant Telford Hornets will be able to continue their great track record of success.”
