Today Lucy joined a small group of new MPs to have lunch with the Prime Minister at No.10, on the 10th anniversay of David Cameron's election as the Conservative Party Leader.
The lunch was held in the Cabinet Rooms at No.10. The PM wanted to know how new MPs were getting on, to hear about the challenges they face in their constituencies. Lucy Allan said: "the Prime Minster was as always, fun, friendly and warm. He has such an empathetic way about him and a genuine willingess to listen. I raised some of issues that I face as Telford's representative in Westminster. I love that I can put Telford on the map with our Prime Minister and that he makes himself accessible."
"He takes the time to understand what the issues are. I admire his extraordinary stamina; he has an amazing energy, in an impossibly difficult job, yet always has the time for people. I was very pleased to be invited to No. 10 on what was such a special day. The Christmas tree was amazing. It even had a No.10 bauble disceetly hidden away."
