Last Friday, local MP Lucy Allan was invited to attend the Be Internet Legends assembly at William Reynolds Primary School in Telford.
This new initiative was launched by Google and Parent Zone as an exciting way to educate primary school children on internet safety.
The assemblies help 7-11 year-olds become safer, more confident explorers of the online world and support a scheme of work resource that is free for all Key Stage 2 teachers.
During the assembly, pupils took part in educational internet safety challenges before Ms Allan addressed the children and gave her advice to stay safe online.
Lucy Allan said:
"It was fantastic to attend a Be Internet Legends assembly and see local children develop their digital skills which are vital to exploring the internet more safely.
"It is so important that we teach children in Telford to thrive in a digital age and I am pleased that Google and Parent Zone are leading the way on this important issue."
