Lucy Allan MP has praised the Women and Children’s Unit at Princess Royal Hospital, a year after it opened.
The £27million unit was completed last year and officially opened by Princess Anne in January.
Lucy Allan MP said: “The Women and Children’s Unit has been a huge success over the past year.
“Improving health care for Telford residents is one of my top priorities and this state-of-the-art facility has done a great job and has quickly become invaluable.
“Telford is an area with pockets of deprivation and health inequality and by investing in the local NHS we can work to address these issues and ensure everyone gets the care they need.
“The Unit has managed to hit all seven of their main targets, which is a phenomenal achievement.
“Now I want to see the Future Fit Programme announced that the Women and Childrens Centre will be joined by a Critical Care Unit for the most serious emergency cases, ensuring that Telford has the best possible health care for the future.”
