- Attended an Industrial Strategy event with Business Secretary, Greg Clark MP

- This new group has the support of the Government, and the Secretary of State for Housing, Sajid Javid MP, spoke of his hopes for the group at its launch event.
- The launch night was attended by business leaders from across the country, with representatives from Telford’s Besblock Limited, Business Watch Guarding, Plastil UK, Ricoh, and Viessmann Ltd in attendance.
- Voted against all amendments to the Government’s flagship Brexit legislation – the EU Withdrawal Bill – at its Third Reading in the House of Commons

- Asked the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Esther McVey, for assurances regarding pensions, in light of Melrose PLC’s proposed takeover of GKN.
- Attended and heard evidence from the former chair of the Social Mobility Commission, Alan Milburn, in my role as a member of the Education Select Committee.
