Telford MP, Lucy Allan is delighted that the Midlands Air Ambulance has been successful in their bid to central government for £1 million.

With the Midlands Air Ambulance Service flying around 2,000 missions a year, Lucy was pleased to support the charity in bidding for central government funds.

The money secured will be put towards a H145 helicopter which the service hopes to take delivery of within the next 18 months.

The funding from central government was awarded in the Autumn Statement from LIBOR banking fines.

Lucy Allan MP, said: “I’m delighted that the Midlands Air Ambulance Service have secured this funding from central government.

“The Midlands Air Ambulance service do an incredible job treating patients and getting them to hospital in quick time and I’ve been more than happy to support their cause in Parliament.

“With an annual running cost of in excess of £7 million, this grant from government will make a big difference to an organisation that relies entirely on donations and funding bids.”
