Today in Parliament, Lucy Allan questioned the Minister for Crime, Safeguarding and Vulnerability, Victoria Atkins MP about the measures the Home Office are taking to tackle the sexual exploitation of vulnerable children.
The MP pressed the Minister about what steps the Home Office are taking to ensure that police can identify grooming and CSE and do not mistake it for consensual sex.
Responding, the Minister said:
"We have provided £1.9 million to the College of Policing to develop a training package for first responders to vulnerable people to identify signs of grooming."
