Lucy Allan, MP for Telford, attended the International Tag Rugby Festival event at Telford Hornets Rugby Club.
The festival, which sees children with learning disabilities take part in a tag rugby competition, was organised by the childrens’ rugby charity Wooden Spoon in association with the Hornets.
Lucy Allan said: “It was great to see such a wonderful event being held at the Hornets ground in the Town Park.
“This is an international event with attendees from all over, and this event really showcased how fantastic Telford is.
“Telford Hornets have done amazing work to bring this event here and it was a really inspiring event.”
The day was attended by some big names from rugby, including former Rugby International and Leicester Tigers player Tim Stimpson, and England Women’s World Cup winner Tamara Taylor.
