Lucy Allan meets with Ministers to discuss Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation in Telford

Yesterday in Parliament, local MP Lucy Allan met with the Minister for Local Government Rishi Sunak MP, the Minister for Crime, Safeguarding and Vulnerability Victoria Atkins MP and the Minister for Policing Nick Hurd MP, to discuss the progress of the independent inquiry into child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Telford. 

Lucy Allan also raised this issue at Home Office questions on Monday in Parliament.

Following the meeting Lucy Allan said:

“I was pleased to meet with both Ministers to discuss the independent inquiry into CSE in Telford.

“Both Ministers have assured me that this issue is on their agenda. It is vital that the inquiry begins without further delay so that lessons can be learned to ensure our community is safe and so that victims can get the answers they deserve.”
