Accessing mental health support

NHS

Many people are struggling with their mental health right now and often they do not know where to turn in a crisis. At a time when you need it most, It can feel like accessing help and support is itself an insurmountable challenge that seems overwhelming.

Its important that we all encourage our friends, family and work colleagues to look after their mental health and that we know where to seek help for ourselves and for others.

Locally there is a mental health triage service, allowing residents to contact someone from the local area and seek medical guidance or support. The Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Mental Health Triage Service currently operates from 6pm-2am, Sunday to Thursday, and 6pm-6am on Friday and Saturday. If you need to get in touch, please call 01743 210100.

Additionally, if you or a friend or family member finding your mental health challenging, please do not hesitate to contact the support available, where dedicated advisers, counsellors and nurses are able to provide assistance, guidance and advice on the NHS' website here.
