Telford MP Lucy Allan has lent her support to the Assisted Dying Bill in Parliament, which would give some terminally ill patients the right to die in specific circumstances.
Lucy Allan MP has sponsored the Assisted Dying Bill, which is a Private Members Bill that has been presented by Rob Marris the Labour MP for Wolverhampton South West, who topped the ballot of MPs to bring a bill before the House.
The bill would give patients with terminal illnesses who have an estimated six months or left of live the right to ask their doctor for a lethal dose of medication.
The bill has been presented in Parliament and will have its second reading on 11th September 2015.
Lucy Allan said: ‘”I am supporting this bill because everyone has the right to make a choice about what is best for them. It is time that Parliament debates this incredibly important issue.”
